  3. I’ve had the wallet for about 2 weeks and its perfect in every way. It was stiff at first, but overtime it breaks-in. The materials and craftsmanship are really top of the line. I added a grommet to it so i could attach my key ring. Now everything is completely consolidated.

    Thanks

  5. The wallet was much better than expected. First of all, it does a perfect job of holding everything in one place. Iphone fits fine and is not a problem to get at when needed. I’ve had many compliments from other Iphone users and forwarded the site to them.
Bottom line is that it is a classy looking piece that will allow you to keep everything in one place.
One more thing..Owen was a solid guy to do business with, fast shipping and prompt replies.

  9. I bought the original wallet and the new second generation is superior in design and build. The addition of a deep pocket for cash is a great enhancement-it is now a proper wallet.

The only issue I have is that the pocket in which the iphone is inserted in is a bit stiff so there is not enough friction and the phone slips out when the wallet is opened. There is a danger it can completely fall out. This may change over time as the material loosens but I reckon a bit of soft thin cloth inserted into the pocket will solve this. The cleaning cloth that comes with the phone is perfect for this and it means you can also clean it on the go!

    Dealing and shipping was fast.

You can always pick up one of the {thin shells} either plastic or rubber ones to make the phone a lil more snug in the wallet. The rubber one has grip also, and will cause friction with the wallet and not come out as easily. I prefer no shell and just sliding it out into my hand, after a week or two you get used to the motion ( I have never dropped it )

  11. I just wanted to say a few words that will hopefully explain how happy I am with this wallet. Not knowing anything about the wallet as I never saw it except on the website before I ordered but the product struck me as the exact think I wanted!!! After I exchanged a few pleasant emails with Owen I placed an order for 6. One for my self and the rest were presents for some friends I will simply say that this product is EXQUISITE! I’ve received feedback from my friends and they all share the thoughts. Great product, great communication and fast shipping. Thank you.

Just one small request: make the leather one notch sturdier.

Have you considered put the phone pocket up front so that you dont have to slide the phone in/out…. and that you will have quicker access to your phone when you need to answer a call or complete an iPhone task….

    JUST FOR THOUGHT

I agree with Wms. I will buy this wallet when you move the iPhone to the top so it is usable inside the wallet. Who wants to pull their iPhone out of the wallet everytime they want to use it?

And when you do move it to the top, can you make sure all ports are accessible? I know… tall order.

Why not just have the iPhone on one side by itself and have all the normal wallet stuff on the other side?

Almost the perfect wallet for me… and definitely the closest to matching my needs.

This is a repeating request I have been getting and who knows there might be something brewing on the horizon with this idea. The thing is though for me – Who wants to have a wallet next to there ear while they are talking on the phone be it 1 min or 30 minutes. I really like apple’s iphone design out of the box – I dont have any clear plastic or a rubber cases on it, I like the way it feels in my hand weather i am talking / searching the web / ipod / games / etc. The ipocketwallet is a limit the clutter product, while organizing things, but ment to be used how the iphone was originally designed. I know its a good idea in theory and I do agree this product may not be for everyone, but for my needs it meets it perfectly. I am still designing, and keep a look out there is going to be another updated design.

    Wms Reply:

Owens, while the design has met your need perfectly; I believe the thought should be what is in the best interest of the consumer – and if you are getting repeat requests for the same thing, then you should come up with something to appease your customers – me too, are holding back on buying the ipocketwallet until you design something less convoluted…..

While you like the out of the box feel – your customers are saying we like the in wallet feel……!!

I’ve been searching for the right kind of wallet for my iPhone. Sena’s designs either leave the screen exposed while in the pocket and/or do not allow your finger to swipe to the edge of the screen, thus preventing some important actions (moving an icon to a different screen). I, personally, am not looking for a wallet that allows me to use the phone while walleted (ok, so that’s not a word). I’d rather have a carrier that serves as a wallet for credit cards, ID, cash, and holds/protects my iPhone. I’ve been searching for months. Nothing has come close to fulfilling my needs until I stumbled onto this product in a Google search. Although I have not yet purchased the product, I have my credit card in hand. I always check out the gallery and read the reviews thoroughly before purchasing something site-unseen. Owen, if you have plans to incorporate the suggestions of moving the iPhone slot to the front and making the screen accessible, please consider making that wallet an additional option rather than replacing the current design. I am confident that there are plenty of potential customers just like me who will look at your current design and say, “Finally! That’s JUST what I’ve been searching for!” Thanks. I’m ordering now.

I agree with them on the being able to use the phone while in the wallet. I would buy this in an instant if the screen was both visible and accessible while in the wallet…I don’t necessarily need to use the “phone” feature but texting and looking things up (even checking the time) would be GREAT. and I don’t need to have the ports accessible. But that is just personal preference :-)

  19. Great wallet! A little bulkier than I expected for a front pocket, but I used to carry phone in one pocket and wallet in the other. Now I have a free pocket for more JUNK! Thanks(I think..)

P.S. It would be nice to have a version without the money pocket, but instead a money clip on the outside, not magnetic or hinged, just a standard steel clip wrapped in leather….that would be perfect(for me), and it would add a little more strength and security for the iphone because of the “rigid backer” that would be needed for the clip to mount on……….

Just a thought, but I will definitely buy the same one again if it was my only choice in the future. Thanks again for a terrific product!

  33. Great product!
Tired of carrying a phone in one pocket and a wallet in the other, I wanted to consolidate. I’ve looked at all the iphone cases & phone wallets in the stores–none of them suited me. I found the iPocketWallet online & ordered mine on Thursday, received it on Monday.

The wallet is exactly as described. The leather is good quality and it seems to be well made. With my iPhone inside it is only about 1/4 inch longer than my old leather wallet.

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for… I’m already in the habit of carrying my wallet in my front pocket due to back problems. This is much easier to keep track of, especially on family outings, shopping etc.

    Thanks Owen!

  39. I had the Original Wallet and really liked it. I modified the original wallet by cutting out the center flap because I didn’t need all the exta credit card slots. I also really wanted the convenience of a thinner iPocketWallet. The one thing that made me chose to buy this new version was the added feature of a traditional sleeve to hold cash.

I must concur witht he comments about about shipping. This company has shockingly fast shipping. Each time I have ordered something, I clique on “purchase”, walk to my curbside mailbox and there is the wallet. We’re all being spoiled by this efficiency.

When I opened the box with this new version of the iPocketWallet, the first thing I noticed was the height and length dimensions are visibly larger. While I was disappointed, I suspect the larger size was necessary to accommodate the dimensions of USA cash in the new cash sleeve.

I was also slightly disappointed to see the slot that holds the iPhone was enlarged. It is now much wider than is necessary to hold an iPhone. I suspect this might be an attempt to make this new wallet compatible with a wider selection of communication devices (e.g. Blackberry, Palm).

The additional stiffness that is mentioned about doesn’t bother me. However the massive size of this wallet after I put my iPhone in it does bother me. I’m going to keep using this wallet for at least two weeks to try and get used to the bigger/bulkier size, but I am keeping my previous iPocketWallet close by just in case.

Delivery was quicker than I expected.

It smells great, feels good, looks awesome.

Australian notes are about 3mm longer than the pocket for the money. Hopefully after the leather breaks in the cash will fit nicer.

Prob suggest some holes for the speakers (did some myself) and prob some magnet or clip to hold the wallet closed.

  41. WHAT A FANTASTIC ITEM

I’ve been a PDA user since the nineties and the days of Palm Pilots (who remembers them !), at that time I managed to get a case which also held a credit card and I was hooked.
Since then I have been through a few of Palm’s a couple of IMate’s and a HTC all in horrible nasty cases which I modified or adapted with scalpels and adhesive Velcro.

I’ve now moved over to an iPhone and to go with it the product I have been searching for over ten years, the iPocketWallet.

Small, Hard wearing, Lots of pockets, I’m amazed on so many levels.

    THANKS OWEN !

  47. I’m so sorry it took me so long to post my review. I know this will sound like a planted review, but it’s an honest statement. This wallet is exactly what I’ve been looking for. After I injured my back, I had to start wearing a back brace that prevented me from using my favorite iPhone holster. I tried putting the holster in my pocket, but with my wallet and the holster, it was just too much. I tried to use the holster as my wallet. I used the belt clip as a money clip to hold folded cash and two credit cards. There was a small pocket inside where I kept my ID and insurance card. It was too difficult to get to my ID/insurance cards and I was constantly afraid I would lose my money or credit cards. The iPocketWallet solved my problem 100%. I can carry MUCH more cash, MANY more credit cards, receipts/business cards, ID, insurance cards, and more. It’s a much better solution than my adapted holster, it’s smaller than the holster + wallet in my pocket (of course), and is only slightly larger than the holster itself. Once I got familiar with the best way to hold the wallet as I open it, the phone has not slid out unexpectedly yet. I absolutely love it. I found this site with the famous “Google search,” and I am so glad I did. I was apprehensive about purchasing a wallet “sight-unseen,” based solely on a picture and the video, but I could not be happier. Thanks, iPocketWallet!

  51. Hi Owen,

Received the wallet very quikly to the UK. (approx 4-5 days).

I did a lot of research on different/similar products but pipped for this wallet instead.

The leather is REALLY good quality, it smells absolutely lovely!! – it even has 2 slots for keys!!?? – which is a bonus, as I didn’t even realise!

    A superb item, highly recommended!!

HOWEVER!!! – I am a left-handed Iphone user and I would so love the wallet ‘the other way round’ (I instinctively take out the phone with my right hand, whilst holding the wallet in the left) – its always upside down!?…..

Let me know if you do a left handed version mate, I will buy one instantly (can you make a one off!!??)

    !!!!!! iPocketLeftHandedWallet !!!!!!

***Has a great sound to the name!! ****** lol.

Thanks again Owen, great item! Best on market and really cheap (GBP!)

The wallet arrived the other day. I am very impressed with the quality and softness of the leather. I know that there are people that are going to go on about how bulky the wallet is with the phone inside but it works for me, as I would usually have the wallet and phone in the same pocket anyway and it would be bulkier. Great product!

  57. I purchased the Ipocketwallet a few months ago when I purchased my new Samsung Omnia. My phone fits perfectly into the spot even with a plastic protective case. I have found this wallet to the best smart-phone wallet around. It also shipped rather quickly with nice packaging. I like that I can have my phone, credit cards, drivers license, and money all in one wallet. It works great.

With that said, I do think that the Ipocketwallet version 2 could still use some improvements. First of all, I am a little disappointed that the ID slot is too large and the window is too short so that important parts of the ID are cut off making it so I have to remove it if I need to show it to someone. It would have been nice if this spot had been designed to better fit the standard drivers license/ID card.
Second, I do not like that there is no stylist slot. This makes it hard for people who do not have an Iphone and use a stylist. It would have been nice if there was a place in the center where a stylist could fit.
Third, I found the money slot to be too small/short. When I have close to $100 in assorted bills I have found they all bunch together in the bill area. This could be avoided if one were to increase length of the wallet by half an inch.
Fourth, I find the name insulting to those of us who refuse to buy into the AT&T Iphone craze. While, ipocketwallet is catchy, I think the designers maybe missing an important demographic, smartphone users. I think a better name for this phone would be “smartwallet.”
Fifth, I would like to see other variations of this wallet that included two flaps (instead of one) with the phone in the middle with Velcro.

In conclusion, even with these flaws to the design, I think this wallet is one of the best around for smart phones. I would encourage you to purchase it for your phone. I have no regrets in purchasing this wallet and I look forward to purchasing future versions.

    Thanks Eric.

I am sorry you find the name insulting, it is just a name…

The wallet was originally for the iphone for about a year or so before marketing towards other phones just because they actually fit great in there also! So the ipocketwallet was name generated bc of the iphone, it just so happens thats where this all began.

Its not perfect, the ID shield seems to work fine for me as far as the date or birth, seems to be the reason why most people look at the id, but I actually come across most the time people ask to see the id anyway as far as policy they make you take it out – and with the design being a lil looser fit and also has the top grip area the grab it, its very easy to remove.

    -Owen

  59. Rec’d the wallet on 9/8, and after almost a month has exceeded my expectations for everything except the ID slot, which is loose now so the license comes out easily unless something is put behind it. Other than that, been looking for a case for my iPhone and also a new wallet (had been using a metal money clip)…couldn’t have both in the same pocket at the same time but this fixed that buy having to only purchase 1 thing.

Just saw a new wallet has come out, looking forward to seeing its design as well.

  61. I rarely write reviews, but I just got the wallet (3.0) in the mail after having ordered it just a few days prior. I’m big on minimizing what I need to carry and also streamlined accessibility. Having said that, after using money clips, then to a rubber band to secure both my money AND my cards for one pocket and then my phone in the other pocket, I was looking for something that would cure this issue. (It’s hard to look professional when you’re pulling your money from a rubber band, efficient as it may be.)

I do a lot of outdoor activities and frequent the gym often, so while I enjoyed my minimalism, throwing an unprotected iPhone, credit cards, keys and change into the pocket of a bag just didn’t feel secure enough for me. This wallet solves that issue. It keeps everything protected and in one place. I was hoping it doing the impossible and remaining an extra-slim solution-it’s still a bit bulky for a guy that used to use a rubber band/money clip-but it works well. For me, I think I would have rather have half of the wallet. That is, the pocket for the iPhone and then the vertical card slots on the same side without a bi-fold. This would cut down on the extra thickness and match the minimalism I was looking for. Ideal as that may be for me, I know that most people would rather have the bi-fold, so for what it is, this is great so far.

I’m going to test it out for a bit, though I may end up using it as a wallet and keep my phone separately unless I’m in need of tossing everything in a ruck when on the run.

And the wallet is everything you said it would be — slim and trim, yet holds a number of cards and cash, my iPhone fit easily and is snug and safe inside the wallet, the quality and sturdiness of construction look very good. I’m so pleased to have finally found an iPhone wallet that’s really a wallet and good at what it does!

  67. I’M AMAZED! I ordered my Iwallett on Sunday evening, had an order confirmation from Owen on the Monday morning and the wallet arrived in the UK this morning (Fri). I opted for version 2.0 as I wanted the note section. Quality is brilliant and my iPhone fits in the wallet even with it’s rubber protection sleeve – just as Owen suggested in a previous review. I would also agree that the wallet does not need the phone section at the front, who wants there credit cards slapping them around the face when you answer a call? If you want a protective case for your phone go elsewhere. If you want to put your phone in a wallet with your cards and dosh then this is for you – ITS BRILLIANT! Owen don’t discontinue this version as it fits Uk bills perfectly, albeit for a Uk photocard driving licence the window section is not quite the right shape, but this is a minor point. This is a fantastic product and I will definatley be recommending it to my friends and family.

For those that think it should be designed different with the phone in front, etc…… heck— the thing is only $45—- but this model now and use it and maybe in a year or two they will have something different—- and you’ll most likely be using a different phone by then anyways….

  71. Not only a great product, but a great guy to do business with. I received the 3.0 version for Christmas and after trying it out, decided the 2.0 version with the money sleeve would work better for me. Owen waived the restocking fee and my replacement arrived lightning fast after I returned the original.

Unfortunately, there was a slight defect in the replacement’s stitching – nothing major, purely cosmetic. I emailed Owen a couple of pics and within an hour or two he emailed me back agreeing that it wasn’t acceptable and that he’d send me out a new one today – and to keep the old one for my troubles!

I challenge anyone to find a company that stands behind their product and offers better customer service than Owen. My phone and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks!

  73. I had been looking for a wallet for my iPhone with just the very configuration of this wallet. I purchased and was very pleased with the first version of the wallet. Since then, I have upgraded successively to all three versions of this wallet, and I have been pleased with each one. Each has been a good refinement of the previous wallet, improving on the size and quality of the leather. The wallets wear well, and always invoke comments from people when they are surprised that my iPhone is IN my wallet!

On each purchase of the wallet, Owen has shipped it extremely quickly, and has personally followed up with me about how I like the wallet.

I would absolutely encourage anyone to purchase this wallet. Wallets are very personal in terms of what an individual is looking for, and how they want to use the wallet. If this style wallet is something you think would work for you, don’t hesitate for one minute in making your purchase. You will not be disappointed.

  75. I’m one of those people who love the idea of minimal items on the go. 3 keys and a AAA Fenix on the ring, a wallet and that’s it. For a short time there was an imported case that fit the bill of case/wallet. This did not last when I determined the iphone was just too slippery and a fingerprint nightmare. A very thin Innocase and PowerSupport matte screen cover made the phone a pleasure to hold and eliminated constant cleaning. It also solved my distaste for Apple’s recent ‘Shiny’ fetish or what ever you’d like to call it. I know I’m not alone in this opinion ;)

For months I checked on any new developments in the iphone wallet category, but all seemed to require a naked phone, not to mention dealing with a clip or some other pretentious design.

I can’t remember how I linked to this site, but after reading the feedback and Owen’s comments I took a chance on the 3.0. It’s perfect in every respect for my needs. My thin cased phone is only slightly snug the first day. The soft leather will easily break in and ease with use.

For the curious, I use 3 of the card slots on the left, some cash in the second opening and another plastic card and paper card under that.
For now I have my drivers license over the phone.
I measure around 1 1/8 or 30mm thickness today, and I’ll guess this will relax to 1 inch after some handling. The card flap almost closes now, so I have every reason to believe it will close all the way once the spine and corners break in.

    Outstanding – Thank You Owen

  77. This is the perfect solution for me. When I first opened the package I had doubts that the wallet wouldnt fit my Iphone with an Iskin solo. When I tried it on I was really surprised! It went in smoothly. I was so amazed! I love this wallet! Specially with the bills section. I was able to fit in 3 cards plus my atm card. My driver’s license too. Perfect! Love the leader too! Smells so sweet indeed. Thanks so much Owen. Till next time…

  79. Received today both 2.0 & 3.0 versions. Very soft & nice leather for both. I find 3.0 a little bit to tight vs 2.0 which I prefer also for its note pocket.
Very nice products. Waiting for 4.0 ;-)
Keep up the good work !

  81. Well, I’ve had my ipocket wallet for a month or so now and I really love this thing! Life is much easier having one thing to carry now.

Holds everything I need, cash , credit cards, license, phone, etc.

After it breaks in it’s even nicer.

Well built and I get plenty of compliments on it… people think it’s really cool—- which it is!

Okay.. now for my wish list of features I would like to see:

First and most important— a hole cutout so the iphone can be charged while still in the iwallet. I charge on the road and it would be nice to leave it in the case.

Second— on part where you put your license – I also keep insurance info in the pocket underneath. Items feel pretty loose on that side– would be nice to have a security flap to hold them in place.

Third— a possible option for a window where the phone goes— so you could look thru from the outside (wallet folded) and see who was calling without removing the phone.

Other than that– I really like this thing!

    Nice job!
