Geez – My Lower Back Hurts!


We know that most men carry their wallet in a back pocket. Often the wallet is at least an inch thick or more with cash, cards, receipts and other important ‘ stuff ‘. Sitting on that wallet will raise one hip by the thickness of the wallet. The hips then roll out of alignment causing the pelvic muscles to compensate which translates further up your spine forcing the shoulders to compensate. “The hip bones connected to the . . . .”. In general, common back pain.

Doctor’s and Chiropractor’s agree that sciatic pain can be caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve which runs from the pelvis to thigh (where you keep your wallet).  Severe cases may warrant pain killers and extreme cases may require operations to release the nerves.

You don’t have to convert or go through the hassle of forming a new habit if you don’t want to. You might instead spend monies on medications, expensive therapies, and even operations to relieve back pain. Simply relocating your wallet may achieve the same end result. The choice is up to you.
