New iPocketWallet 5th Generation 2012

Introducing the 5th generation iPocketWallet, a wallet that doubles as a carrying case for your smartphone. iPocketWallet is the original wallet and smartphone case combo. What differentiates our unique product from competitors is attention to design. We based our design from a wallet first and a smartphone case second, not the other way around.

Smartphone cases suffer from one big problem, BULKINESS. Most cases are composed of thick leather, belt clips and buckles. This type of case defeats the purpose of buying a phone that was designed to be less than half an inch thick! At iPocketWallet we solved this problem by custom designing and manufacturing a wallet and smartphone case that comfortably fits inside your pants pocket.

New 3.0 lite – iPhone Wallet

iphone wallet

This is the 3rd Generation wallet. This is very similar to the 2nd Gen wallet with a few modifications. The leather is different, same long lasting great quality that will conform comfortably in about a week of use, but a stiffer sleaker texture instead of the grainy one the 2nd Gen. Also the phone slides into the pocket lined with soft felt to keep it more protected. Last, the outer money sleeve was removed resulting in a much smaller sized wallet that fits in your hand great and hugs the iphone inside it perfectly and still carries all the essentials. note* 3.0 is very similar to the original wallet with higher grade manufacturing.

Geez – My Lower Back Hurts!

lower

We know that most men carry their wallet in a back pocket. Often the wallet is at least an inch thick or more with cash, cards, receipts and other important ‘ stuff ‘. Sitting on that wallet will raise one hip by the thickness of the wallet. The hips then roll out of alignment causing the pelvic muscles to compensate which translates further up your spine forcing the shoulders to compensate. “The hip bones connected to the . . . .”. In general, common back pain.

Doctor’s and Chiropractor’s agree that sciatic pain can be caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve which runs from the pelvis to thigh (where you keep your wallet).  Severe cases may warrant pain killers and extreme cases may require operations to release the nerves.

You don’t have to convert or go through the hassle of forming a new habit if you don’t want to. You might instead spend monies on medications, expensive therapies, and even operations to relieve back pain. Simply relocating your wallet may achieve the same end result. The choice is up to you.

Avoid getting pick pocketed!

back1

Perhaps the greatest benefit to keeping your wallet in your front pants pocket rather then your back pocket is it decreases the chance that you might get ‘pick pocketed’. Keeping your valuable personal belongings in your front pants pocket greatly reduces the chance that one day you might be the victim of a criminal act and inconvenienced with loss of cash, credit cards, and identification. Below are some links to a website we have came across online that speaks about ways to avoid getting your wallet stolen.

When my brother (who lives in Austin), my cousin (who lives in NYC) and his best friend (who also lives in NYC) came to visit me in Madrid last week — they all got their wallets pick-pocketed! It happened twice to my cousin — once on the metro in Madrid, and once on the streets of Seville. You’d think that people originally from Bombay, now living in bustling metropolitans would know how to be careful about their belongings. I guess we take it for granted that it’s not going to happen to us, or the robbers are just getting smarter and quicker.

In other words — carry a wallet when you’re traveling and your odds of getting robbed are higher.

I have never been pick-pocketed, but I think that’s because I never have anything worth flicking. When I travel, normally all I walk around with is €20 note in my pocket, some ID, and some chapstick. The downside of that is that I often have to head back to my hostel to get some more money out — but that happens anyway, so it’s OK. Honestly, I don’t really understand why you need to carry anything else when exploring a new city. Perhaps an extra €20 in a separate pocket — but there is really no need for a bum-bag or a wallet, and definitley not your passport.

On that note, here is an interesting forum thread on Flyer Talk about pick-pockets in Europe and how to avoid them. Be careful! {http://www.vagablogging.net/tips-for-avoiding-getting-pick-pocketed.html}

My Front Pocket Wallet, AMEN.

religion

The iPocketWallet’s design caters to people who prefer to keep their wallets in the front pants pocket or in a purse. You may be thinking “. . I’ve always kept my wallet in my back pocket and my phone in my front pocket. . “.   Since  sitting down on your phone is not recommended even after putting it in a wallet, you will need to convert . We understand that to some it may be like asking to change religion. The great majority should have no problem with converting or may already be carrying their wallet in their front pocket. For those of you who are questioning it, try to keep an open mind and just give it a try. You might actually like it. It is certainly a safer place to carry valuables and you will probably find it more comfortable after a short time.
